Attend the Green Tech Girls Summer Bootcamp
Green Tech Girls summer boot camp is a STEM camp program for secondary school girls.The camp empowers young girls to be green energy advocates, climate ambassadors, sustainable environment advocates, bold and confident change makers in their communities and beyond. The goal of the camp is to interest and inspire girls at an early age when career decisions are often formed. The camp provides an engaging, safe and fun environment for young girls to network, be inspired by role models, and have hands-on practical engagements. The program takes a holistic approach to activities relevant to girls and women that will enhance their self-confidence and their abilities to become technology leaders and change makers. Training curriculum covers Climate Change Awareness, Energy Management, Introduction to Renewable Energy, Introduction to Hydrogen and Decarbonisation, Solar Installation Basics Training, Waste to Wealth – Plastic Up-cycling Training, Critical Thinking and Leadership, Vision Boarding.The Theme of this year’s event is ‘‘FutureHER – Building a Greener Tomorrow, Today”
The camp starts on Monday 25th August and runs till Thursday 28th 2025 (10 am to 3 pm daily). The Closing Ceremony comes up on Saturday 30th August, 2025 (11 am to 2 pm)
The Bootcamp happens at the IACD Library and Resource Center, Leventis Building 54, Magazine Road, Jericho Ibadan, beside Booksellers Ltd, Oyo State, Nigeria.
