On Saturday, September 12th, 2026 SkillHer.org opened the 2nd Cohort of its free 3-week digital skills acquisition bootcamp for women in Ibadan, with a facilitators training session at the University of Ibadan Hotels.
SkillHer, had put out a call for applications on the 29th of July 2026,for the Bootcamp, organized with the support of Tech Impact Club Africa, and it closed on August 31st 2026.
The “Train the Trainers” facilitators’ session was followed immediately by the first class in the Research and Project Management track on the same day.
Over 100 women applied across the program’s five skill categories, Web Development & AI, Social Media Management & Graphics Design, Research & Project Management, Sales & Marketing, and Business & Organization and Structuring. Five facilitators will take participants through their respective tracks over the next three weeks, running a mix of physical and virtual sessions.
Furthermore, the virtual component runs on SkillHer Coach, a learning management app SkillHer built in-house for its training programs a detail worth noting on its own. Rather than routing participants through a generic third-party LMS, SkillHer has opted to own the infrastructure its programs run on, which says something about how it’s thinking about scale beyond this single cohort.
For now, the program has cleared its first checkpoint: applicants selected, facilitators trained, and the first classroom session already behind it.
