The event organisers are targeting 15,000 Attendees this year
Ibadan Tech Expo (IBTE) has opened its call for sponsorship for its fourth edition, scheduled for Friday, 27th November 2026 at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan. Organisers are projecting 15,000 attendees, up from the 10,000-plus who turned out for last year’s single-day event.
The expo has built a track record beyond ticket numbers. Its 2025 edition drew over 40 sponsors, hosted more than 30 startup showcases, logged over 20 million social media impressions and trended on X for 48 hours under #IbadanTechExpo. Past backers and collaborators include CCHUB, MTN, ALX, PaidHR, Kolomoni, and Watu, alongside more than a dozen partnering tech communities.
For 2026, organisers are offering five sponsorship tiers, from Bronze at ₦1 million to Headline at ₦20 million. Packages scale from basic exhibition space and website listing at the entry level, to keynote speaking slots, prime 9-square-metre booths, product demonstrations, VIP ticket allocations, and post-event attendee data access at the top tier. Mid-tier sponsors can expect booth space, ticket allocations, and panel participation.
The expo has previously drawn public backing from Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who cited its alignment with the state’s tech and education priorities.
Organisers describe the event as a platform for connecting innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders across Oyo State and beyond, with this year’s edition positioned as its most ambitious yet.
